Many people in the US take food for granted. We do not know the level of starvation that children encounter on a daily basis in Haiti. In the US we have free lunch programs in schools, food stamps and social programs for the impoverished in our communities, and food banks and churches which distribute emergency food and supplies in times of need. But what do you do when the majority of children in the poorest country in the western hemisphere are food challenged? Many children go to bed hungry and wake up to no food every day? They never ask, “What’s for dinner” because they know nothing is there to eat. This is simply the way of life for many children and orphans in Haiti. With your help we can make a difference.
